We have a change of one person on the board of management and as that person isnt already on the system, will need that person to supply ID and proof of address to get them on the account (along with a heap of other rigmarole and bureacracy of course).

The question is, does this need to be done personally at a branch, and can it be any branch or just the one where the account is held, or can it be done by email or even, are Bank of Ireland at the cutting edge of things and able to do something like this on a video call ?

Ive done the video-ident thing a few times now, for Revolut or some other online banking service and also a couple of times for car share sign up, and it works really well - so as a slightly off topic comment, if you already havent got it, maybe its something to look into.
