Cancel Ryanair flight & rebooking the same flight only cheaper??

Ryanair have emailed me to say my flight time has changed and to accept the new change (20 mins earlier return) if I booked the same flight seats etc it’s actually about 50 quid cheaper than the original booking. Would they block me if I tried that? As I see it it’s playing them at their own game.

You’d be paying twice for the one trip.

Under rules you dont get a refund if its changed like that, it has to be a significant change of about three hours I think.

I had to rebook flights in 2020 and the new flights were cheaper. They wouldn't even refund the difference as credit on my account which I thought was a joke.

If I don’t accept the change then surely I’m entitled to a full refund, then rebook the flight at the new cheaper price.

Not according to Ryanair

Once a Ryanair flight is operational, and does not have a delay exceeding 5 hours, then it is not possible to get a refund. All Ryanair flights are changeable but they cannot be cancelled.

Flight dates/times/routes can be changed up to 2.5 hours before the flight departure time (name changes can be changed up to 2 hours before the flight) via 'My Bookings' unless you have already checked in, in which case please contact one of our agents using our live chat.

You don't need to notify us if you are unable to travel and if you can’t use your outbound flight, you can still use your return flight.
