Before anyone signs their life away, just familiarise yourself with the new pension entitlements and retirement ages.

Also question why so many are walking away from the job, and why so many probationers end up taking their lives due to the additional stress .

Will they be recruiting from all the minority groups including the travellers, that will be a good one travellers arresting each other !!

Pay into an Avc asap if you join even if its only a small amount it can be increased as you go up in pay, will make a big difference to pension by the time you retire. Id say the increased amount of resignations is a combination of better alternatives in a good economy and the fact that there are alot more snowflakes in todays world than there used to be. Need a bit of tough skin some just dont have it and only realise that when they're in the thick of it. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to have a degree joining it makes a massive difference to pay. After say 5 years you would be on same pay as someone with say 11/12 years service who doesnt have a degree!

Am traveller l applied for the job see they were recruiting travellers so l said l apply give the job a go.

Anything on the Garda Reserves? Don't see any specific reference.

Reserve is being reviewed for restructuring etc., unlikely to be a campaign for some time.

they said their recruiting 400 garda reserve this year maybe after garda traniee is done they move on the garda reserve.
