Multiple UPC boxes (Virgin Media) for internet?

We have moved into a house, that has UPC boxes in each of the Bedrooms. Our main office computers are upstairs, so does anybody have any experience using additional UPC/VM wall outlets for internet? Would it be as simple as a coax to ethernet cable?
