    We seem to echo each other but I can relate to everything you have said.

    I needed the time out too to distress and reassess.

    And through this, I reflected on what job I deserved and what would make me like going to work every day. I have since found that job and have never been happier in my life.

    So yes, OP.. you won't see the wood for the trees while in an acute situation because you are in survival mode.

    If you financially can't afford to resign, can you look into going out on sick leave to get your head right.
