    The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland is delighted to announce the latest in the (delayed) series of diesel railtours.

    It is scheduled to depart from Dublin (Connolly) at 08:20 and head north from the capital, operating via the running loop in Skerries and the bi-directional line to Balbriggan. There will be a passenger pick up stop in Drogheda and then on to Dundalk. Here the loco will run around before heading back south again to Dublin at 10:00. Along the way there will be some photo stops in Laytown and Skerries.

    A loco change has been requested in Dublin before the train once again sets off, this time heading west to Galway from Dublin Connolly at 11:55. There will be a number of photo stops along the route and a break of 1½ hours in Galway, before a swift return to Dublin at 16:45.

    As with previous diesel railtours this one is sure to very popular and will sell out quickly so don't delay and get your booking in as soon as possible.

    The train will be made up of our Cravens coaching stock complete with usual facilities of snack car serving a variety of hot and cold items throughout the day alongside our renowned bar car with draught and bottled beverages available all day.

    DUBLIN CONNOLLY - HOWTH JUNCTION - DROGHEDA - DUNDALK (REVERSE) - DUBLIN CONNOLLY (REVERSE & LOCO CHANGE) - DRUMCONDRA - ISLANDBRIDGE JUNCTION - PORTARLINGTON - ATHLONE - GALWAY (REVERSE & BREAK) - ATHLONE - PORTALINGTON - ISLANDBRIDGE JUNCTION - DUBLIN CONNOLLY.

    Requested haulage GM 071 Class locomotive hauling the RPSI Cravens carriages.
