The problem with this Atlantic snow is that as soon as it stops falling it starts to melt. Not the nice dry powder snow of an easterly. Still, better than nothing.

Beautiful late winter morning on Trim, Meath. Breeze is chilly though. Got up before 8am and there was a dandruff shower at that time but had anyone been out of bed after 9am, you'd likely not know there'd been any snow at all.

Cameras at the house in Longford went offline overnight so can't get any views of what I would imagine is an actual covering, probably only 2/3cm and probably melting fast now with the sun having a bit of strength but would be still nice to see first thing this morning.

A few heavy snow flurries this morning in South Laois, only sticking to grass, and short enough grass at that. Temperatures hovering between 0.7c and 1.9c. Sunny spells between the flurries melting snow from above while the ~4.5c soil temperatures melt it from below.

Woke up to a picturesque wintry scene in Central Mayo this morning following those overnight showers. Sun is now working away at what fell and the dripping has well and truly started. Glad I had a ramble around the place earlier and felt that crunch of freshly fallen snow underneath my boots.
