    Hi,

Hoping someone here might be able to offer some advice.

I bought a house last year and in all rooms downstairs there are cables hanging from the ceiling. Was told when we bought it was for speakers but it is not speaker cable...it's normal 3 core flex... Can that be used for speakers? The cables appear to terminate in the utility room.

I understand that most systems would run speaker cable from a central amp to speakers around the house but am not sure if I can do this with the cables in place.

    Thank you.

It is down as a cheap way of doing speaker cable:
