With Swift having just been approved to extract Russia and effectively turning them in to North Korea, what is next for our nation. The absolute horror of Ukraine is disgusting but from Ireland’s point of view what are the expected outcomes for our nation out here on the edge of Europe?

World War 3 etc aside what impact does making Russia a pariah state? Are we going to see exorbitant costs for energy more than envisioned recently, food shortages etc.

Unless it goes to WW3 we won't have food shortages. Might be a shortage of certain foods but we won't starve. And yep, more or less everything will get more expensive. We were heading that way without the feckin war.

The one advantage of having greedy people is they need the average punter fed and working. So when disaster or war begins to bite them they'll move heaven and hell to get their system back up and running. Its far from perfect but even Putin doesn't want to lose his luxuries. They don't bail out millionaires because they're worried about us.
