Drove through Johnstown co. Kilkenny today and remembered the alleged attack on a young girl there at the end of January.

Had a cursory check online about it and there wasn't any mention after 1st February in any news outlet.

Considering how prominent it was in the news for 3 days, it's strange that it went very quiet and no news of an arrest.

Does anyone know why this was?

Did the attack actually happen?

There is a page on Instagram and a person wrote in to say it was a hoax...the post was shared and then deleted and the person apologised for putting it up...
