Scam text unauthorized transaction - be careful !

Landed today into an existing genuine BOI text thread , scary !

Got the same one last night -also in a thread conversation where I knew the first text was genuine

It's scary

HTTPS and everything had me fooled there's no giveaway apart from there's a link in the text

BOI said they never send links I didn't know

I clicked on the link but it was dead , had me fooled

We've answered a similar query recently which you can view here. Bank of Ireland will never text or email customers asking them to access a link to a log in page. Unfortunately, it is quite easy for fraudsters to make their messages appear in the same thread as genuine texts sent by BOI. We have more information on this and other types of fraud here.
