Battery replacement in RF Sabb on HKC Alarm

Hi,

After a bit of advice if anyone can help.

I have a fault saying the battery is low on my RF Sabb (which I presume is the external alarm bell type thing?). I know in an ideal world I should probably call an engineer, but I actually can't afford to pay one at the moment, so if I got up on a ladder is the battery user replaceable and also available anywhere?

Or is it more complicated than that (which I fear it probably will be),

The batteries you need for this are Duracell CR123.

There is either 6 or 12 batteries in the RF SABB.

If no Leds on, on the bell 6 is normally the case.

Thanks., And it is easy enough to just open the cover (obviously cancel the tamper alarm on my panel) change them and that's that?

Yes, once you open the SABB it will show a fault but putting in your code will stop that.

Put in new batteries and close up. job done.

Climbing up ladders is a real pain. I bought a Special Battery pack BAT-PKRF6V which links into the Standard original Battery Pack ( see picture ) and greatly extends out the period between replacements. Google BAT-PKRF6V and suppliers will come up. Its a God Sent. Also consider turning off the Flashing Leds and installing a dummy Leds pack that runs off 3 AA batteries.
