Is there a similarity between the voting regions for politicians, which in some way correspond to cells of the Tally-Ban? I know the Tallys have the the vote counts all worked out before the real count happens. Is "Ban" the Irish word for something...

Say if certain mothers wanted a Jolly Fella to be elected to sway the laws in their favour, how would they get people together to pip the post in the elections, if there is a certain margin required to get somebody elected.

Did you ever hear the term 'Ban-Garda', for a female police officer in Ireland? It was used up to 1990, I think. (It comes from the Irish word for woman, 'bean'.) Well, the Taliban love women and encouraging them to work in such jobs so they adopted the '-ban' bit at the end of their name.
