    Hi,

I’m 49 and since I was 45 had it at the back on my mind about going bald or you could say I had it at the top of my head 😂.

I heard Dr Nel is good so rang for consultation €250.

Am all new to this so would love opinions on pitfalls. I hear one thing is side effects of medication to prevent further hair loss.

Will this be discussed at consultation?

Its not a huge issue for me going bald but sometimes I look at photos and reminisce 😂

You can bring any questions you have to him I would expect. I had similar concerns about side effects when I went for a consult with HRBR. I did not need a transplant at the time but wanted to get a prescription for finasteride and ask questions about it. Have been on it since with no issues.

And did the finasteride make your hair grow back or just prevent more hair loss?

Slowed down considerably. I believe I would be slick bald by now without it based on the hair loss history in my family. Been on it 10 years.

Is Dr. Nel prescribing 2.5 mg a day for the Loniten/Oral Minoxidil?

Anyone know of any other GPs/Doctors prescribing it, as I'd rather not pay the 200/250e for the consultation?

For anyone prescribed Loniten (oral Minoxidil), when your prescription is due for renewal, do you have to stick with Dr. Nel and, if so, can you renew the prescription over the phone or do you have to book appointments each time? What cost is involved?

As it's a long term/lifetime commitment, I'd like to know how difficult it would be to renew the prescription every 6 Months.

I renew Finasteride every 6 Months through my health insurance and it's hassle-free and there is no charge to get the prescription.
