Loosely translated......."I won't be purchasing English Muffins in a shoppe any more". 😃

Being a bit of a fan of my McMuffin 😋.....I'd always wanted to make my own Muffins. Hey presto......500grs Strong white, yeast, salt and warm water. Prove and reprove. Dusted in coarse semolina or the likes and dry cooked for 10 minutes.

Texture is much "beefier" than the insipid, white pucks you get in the shops.

Outstanding! The McDonalds breakfast menu is massively underrated. I would have it over any of the hipster bakeries any day of the week.

I love Stella Park's recipe for English Muffins, really gets the slight chewiness of a McMuffin https://www.seriouseats.com/no-knead-english-muffins-recipe

That said, the Aldi ones are a good McMuffin stand in, and Tesco go through phases of selling the frozen sausage patties, so if you want a lower effort McMuffin at home, those are good options.

With 1200grs of minced pork, I knocked out 14 pork patties. Sage, Thyme, Onion powder, Garlic powder, sugar, salt and ground black pepper. More satisfaction of doing it yourself IMO.

    Very easy.
