Hi all, just wondering if there is a car park in Adamstown train station? The website seems to indicate their isn't but I find that hard to believe.

    Does anyone know for sure?

There is a car park, but it's a very desolate place with few cars parked, the only activity is the coming and going of the C1 and C2 bus routes, former 25B, the car park is free with no parking charges but I don't know how safe or secure it is.

At least the car park at Fonthill (Clondalkin) is in view of the station and a little more secure and also offers free parking with no parking charges.

    Regards

South Dublin Co Co own the carpark so not part of the train station.

You have slightly more protection using an Irish Rail car park.

FYI, the car park described by h.gricer (to the west of the station) is now closed. There's a new one opened elsewhere that has a daily fee of €4.50 with clamping in operation. Rough.
