iMovie and GarageBand on mid 2011 iMac

Picked up an old iMac for messing around on.

    It's running High Sierra.

I managed to get iMovie installed on it by following tutorials online. Doesn't seem to be a way to get GarageBand on it though.

If I bought an iLife 11 DVD would I just be able to install it ? Can a DVD only be used to install on one device (i.e. would I have to buy an unopened DVD or would any second hand disc do ?)
