Buying a house in Ballytivnan

Hi all,

I've been looking to buy a place and had a look at one in Cartron and another in Avondale. Ive heard stories about Glendallon and Rathbraghan but are Cartron and Avondale in Ballytivnan not safe? The neighbourhoods seemed ok but if just left me wondering... Thanks!

Unless you are local to those area's, I would not buy there personally (Ballytivnan). Mixed area & has a fair amount of anti-socail issues over recent years. But might also depend on what do you mean by saying 'safe' ? Crime, Roberies, violent assaults, sex attacks, vandalisim etc

Deffo not the nicer areas of Sligo town but everyone will have different opinions on this & house prices reflects this!
