Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nuclear Tribunal; Stardate 2380

    Greetings from the future.

The Nuclear Tribunal took place in Ireland between the years 2300-2320 to investigate the estimated €1.5T overspend and alleged corruption during the planning and construction of Ireland’s first Nuclear power station at Killarney national park.

Headed by billionaire Judge Mehaul McGillycuddy Rae, the tribunal, which began just after Christmas on 1st of March 2300, was originally scheduled to run for 18 months, but due to delays and other unforeseens eventually dragged on for 20.5 years. In this time the original estimated cost of 2.5b burgeoned to a whopping 73.4b to the tax payer (Marteen O Hoolavaun, Austerity st, New Dublin).

The proceedings were plagued by problems from the outset. The appointment of McGillycuddy Rae took nearly 6 months to be ratified; his role in the approval of the original planning application was always going to make him a controversial choice. In an infamous diatribe from his yacht at Tralee marina, his honour maintained his claim that there wasn’t, and never had been, a conflict of interest; furthermore he stated that neither he nor the ‘good people of Kerry’ gave a flying **** about the optics of the situation.
