Coiled Garden Lighting Cables

any help advice appreciated. Have 3 coils of swa cable for my garden lighting. Honestly not going to do the lighting until the rest of the garden is ready. Question is can I just bury the coils?? No need to protect the open ends. Should I gland and box off the cables then bury them. Or would rubber self amalgamating tape…
