Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Alloy Wheel Corrosion

It's of no safety concern but it will get uglier as time goes by but if you're ok with that, no need to act.

They look like replica wheels which can be prone to that type of carry on. Rear brakes dont look the may west either.

    Common problem on these wheels.

Water gets under the outer layer and it lifts. It can start from damage from the wrong cleaning product being used or a stone chip that has peeled away.

Only way to fix is a wheel refurb.

That looks like the outer lacquerer is peeling off. Eventually what is known as white worm corrosion will form and spread on the alloy surface where water gets underneath the remaining lacquer. No safety concerns but will just visually look terrible and take the look off the car. You can get the rims refurbished easily enough these days if it bothers you for between €80 to €100 per wheel depending on size and finish.

Anywhere you’d recommend in Dublin? Preferably around Clondalkin.

Going for a service next week, I’m aware of the brakes but I haven’t had any problems.
