Main Dealer - Car showing a finance.

Found a 201 car we like. Decided to do a cartell to be sure.

Mostly it seems fine. It looks like finance is showing up on it. As it was a Friday. Cartell need to ring the bank.

I mentioned this to the dealer. He said it’s our finance. We do that to buy the cars. Said it would go off the car once it’s sold.

Obviously he guaranteed it would be fine. Just wondering Is this common practice and looking for general advice.

Yes its common practice and nothing to worry about. Dealers don’t tie up thousands of their own cash in assets. They use dealer finance instead

Different type of finance.....it shouldn’t have shown up on cartel though..

One would imagine a business would not be taken out individual loans on each car it has in stock..........unless it’s very desperate with no other option.

Well thats how high end car sales works. Its called dealer finance and is offered by all major banks such as AIB etc.

It is common practice.

If you want advice I'd say if the dealer is sound you are sound go ahead with the deal.
