Short answer: yes it works perfectly, it doesn't matter who your broadband provider is.
Longer answer: the Sky Mini Box doesn't actually connect to your home WiFi or talk to your router directly at all. The mini boxes all connect directly to the main box (using the "Q Mesh" which is basically a special wireless connection between the Sky devices in your house), and the main box is what connects to your WiFi.
