Hi, We ordered a steam room log cabin off an irish company last year. Paid large deposit and they arrived on time but only erected the frame. Since November its been a nightmare trying to get refunded. Company is on the CRO but they saying they will pay back 8k in 4 instalments. Cops are looking into it but lawyers say its civil case. But we know of others whom are in same position. Thoughts please?

Many dodgy companies are on the cro, so that's of no real value.

Police are correct that it is nothing to do with them.

Did you pay the deposit by card, cash or bank transfer?

If by card you may be still have an opportunity to do a chargeback.

You could petition for winding up, that may get some action. But you need a solicitor that is willing to go a little further than most
