get a T-Mobile sim when you are over there... $50 for the month... unlimited data i think

I am a 48 user and can confirm no data in the US.
The phone/sms option did not either for me on iPhone
I got an esim and it worked very well.

Good thread on it here and a couple of peeps myself included have added discounts codes should you go with Airolo.
