HKC Rf Echo

Hi,

have 10270 panel and one Echo Rf. it has come up as a fault in last couple of days and has lost “comms” to panel. The batteries I believe are fine. The siren works when crossed at J2 point inside but the LED inside doesn’t light. What do I do?

change batteries?

delete echo and reconnect?

Any ideas anyone where to start?

Just to update,

I have removed the RF Echo from the system with the intention of then trying to add it again but when the system is scanning for the RF Echo it doesn't find it.

Also should the status LED inside the echo be flashing or continuously on? Mine flashes briefly when first connected to the batteries but otherwise remains off. As mentioned the siren works when crossing the required terminals at J2 as per echo manual.

Any ideas appreciated?

Can you try new batteries in the unit then do a rescan

Apologies about delay in replying but only getting back to it today.......

I got 3 new Varta batteries from screwfix today. Scanned for "RF Echo" and "00 Devices" found.

So still in the same boat in that the panel is not locating the RF Echo.

Whats my next move??

Sounds like an issue with the unit, so you would need to replace.

Hi,

Just to update. I left the RF Echo off the system with batteries out for about a week with the intention of getting a new RF Echo in due course. At the weekend I put the original batteries back in and it was located on the system straight away! It's now back running as normal since without any issues.

A strange one!
