Solicitor Hard Copy Letters

Anyone know why a solicitor I'm dealing with always replies to my emails by hard copy posted letter? Even for small items he will still post his reply rather than reply directly by email.

An email is no guarantee of being read by the recipient, mistakes especially if containing sensitive information are easier to be sent to the wrong email address, an actual paper trail of all correspondence, and so on and so on

And it's easier and more expensive to charge per letter typed up and posted to you

He could easy send you an email on a business or legal matter only for you to edit the contents and forward it on to people.

Not saying that you would but it's that easy to do.

Probably a habit, because it fits with his office procedure, or maybe he perceives he can command a better fee if he wrote a letter. Such carry on would get on my nerves!
