Repeater for Eir Fiber to Home Broadband

Hi All,

Recently got Fiber broadband installed via EIR. getting approx 380Mbps downstairs but only 56Mbps upstairs. Looking at getting a repeater, anyone have any suggestions?

Best way to extend your network would be a wired connection, running a cable to where it needs to be. You could try a powerline adapter as the easiest option, but probably won't get full speed. Repeaters are also pretty easy, but do tend so slow things a bit. Not the best for gaming / video.

Alot of the repeaters only work in the 2.4 band & cant handle the speeds you get so like other users said set up a wired access point system for full power wifi it needs to be 5g router.
