We have been considering Ballyna house to host our full wedding due to having less than 100 guests. Does anyone have experience for using the house as the venue for the full wedding?

how does the band/dj set up and are there any concerns with keeping guests involved and entertained with the music?

also any issues with the food and it being transported from hotel to house?

    any other concerns or otherwise?

    all help is greatly appreciated

I replied to your post in the other thread but will add a bit more here 🙂

How does the band/dj set up and are there any concerns with keeping guests involved and entertained with the music?

The tables and chairs in the back part of the room are cleared for the band to set up after dinner. Guests in this part of the room head to the bar or the patio out the back, weather dependent. As the bride, I didn't even notice them setting up....it was seamless.

Any issues with the food and it being transported from hotel to house?

We had absolutely no issues here. The food was fantastic! We got married on a very hot day so I suppose that helped a bit. Not sure how it would be for a winter wedding/cold day, but that mightn't apply to your wedding 🙂

    Any other concerns or otherwise?

The only slight negative was the noise which seemed to go on all night clearing the room and setting it up for the next day. The room you stay in is directly above it. It was a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things. Overall, we had no issues from planning stages to the big day. Balyna House is beautiful and the staff are absolutely fantastic.

Oh and we had a humanist ceremony in the Stone House, if it's something you were considering 🙂 We had the drinks reception and meal in Balyna House.

Any other questions just ask 🙂🙂
