Any room to Rent for 6months from July? Portlaoise

    Hi all,

    Would anyone have a room to rent for 6 months from July? My daughter is an Apprentice with ESB and will need to be based down there for 6 months - Im going to miss her like crazy but she is planning to come home most weekends.!

    Any leads would help us out alot.

    Try daft.ie or Airbnb. You might find a host who would like a lodger Monday to Fridays and who could airbnb it on weekends?

    The ESB college in Portlaoise will give you a list of accommodation that their students usually use, they range from Hotels and B&B's in the area. The course is run for a few weeks at a time so she wont be there for an entire 6 months straight. She'll probably start off with 4 or 6 weeks, then a break for a few weeks, then back for a few more weeks etc. Her course will run for 4 years until she's finished/qualified.

    When you phone the Hotels & B&B's, be up front and tell them your an ESB student as there might be a discount on cost. If you dont mention your an ESB student, well...do the math!
