Extending home network via a long ethernet cable - How to then broadcast wifi?

Hey, I'm looking to extend my home network via a long ethernet cable that is plugged into the home router. I want to plug the extended side into some device that will then broadcast the LAN via 5ghz wifi. Is there such a device that can do this?

I'm not looking for a DSL router or anything like that, just a simple device that will broadcast the LAN via a 5ghz wifi with its own SSID

any wifi router will do the job. run the ethernet from your network router to the wi fi router, and connect to it

can you not use a powerline adapter with inbuilt wifi? Would save the need for a long ethernet cable

Ethernet cable will give you the speed and reliability that powerline adapters don't give. Also when you connect the modem at the end, you will have extra ethernet connections on that modem not to mention better wifi..;)

Not sure if helps but if you are looking to just boost wifi you could try one of these. My main router is installed in our kitchen/dining extension at the back of our house so wifi signal can be quite poor inside the original building envelope and non existent upstairs. I've one of those plugged into the socket in the sitting room at the front and it provides great coverage to all rooms in our place.

yeah powerlines work well imo

you'll get speeds that are good enough for 4k video even on 2.4 ghz (5 ghz versions are available but you may need see significant speed increase)
