So the short story here is My Nephew wants to do his first personal build .

He doesn't need any peripherals , He has all the bling he needs there . For his first system I threw together to get him going with PC's was a X58 platform. Way obsolete but did the job for the introduction .

He sent me a part picker list of what he had researched himself and while I should know all this stuff off myself I am still on an older platform and out of the loop abit on where value and performance is at .

He seems to be going for a white theme . Currently running at €1600+ change .

So boards people do your thing make this better and a better price .

    Thanks in advance

    i7-11700K is outdated. Get a Ryzen 5 5600 & a better GPU - AMD RX 6700 XT or RTX 3070.

Case is bad. Corsair 4000X has tempered glass restricting the airflow. Either get Bitfenix Enso Mesh RGB, Phanteks P400A-RGB or Corsair 4000D Airflow + extra fans.

Lian-Li Galahad is bought for looks only. I am including a Scythe Fuma 2 rev.B air cooler which performs just as well but will be half as loud.

That PSU must be a pricing mistake. Regardless, don't buy a PSU for looks. You can't see it once it's installed in the case. Gold-rated fully modular is not expensive & better buy.

Mindfactory don't ship to Ireland. Use Amazon & Caseking or ComputerUniverse.

@K.O.Kiki why not the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X ? 200MHz more for 10€ extra is a good deal no?

Minimal difference between the 5600 and 5600x, like 2% with a high end GPU (RTX 3080). Not worth the extra 5%ish price premium.

If they happen to be the same price, then sure, take the 5600x.
