Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Transfer of house

How long does it take for a house to be transferred from one party to another?

.We are waiting over 5 months for a correspondence from my solicitor, calls are not returned and emails are unanswered regarding any update. All paperwork is in order and probate has been completed. Is there any redress I have here other than going to a different solicitor and wasting more time.

There are two solicitors to this transaction presumably? If both parties are using the same solicitor, then that's ultimately the source of the problem.

Thank you for the reply, there are 2 separate solicitors (one for each party)

Is there anything I can do such requesting my papers back and engaging a different solicitor.

You could, but it might actually be more expedient to continue with the solicitor currently engaged, persist, and try and get to the bottom of what is causing the delay.

Take you business elsewhere in future if you are ultimately unhappy with the level of service.
