Reseeding and rushes

I have parcel 8 acres or so.would like to reseed in late august early September by stitching.there are Some rushes on it .Is it to late now to try and get a kill on them for reseeding this year would be thinking of using mortone

You could mow them now and when they green up again spray them, you'd easy have that all done by late august
