Putting your credit card into credit balance for temporary increase in limit?

Hi, If one has a BOI credit card with limit X. If limit X is short by amount Y for a certain purchase can someone before the time of purchase do a credit transfer of amount Y so that the effective credit card limit is X + Y thus temporarily bypassing the limit which would block the purchase? Thanks.

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes it is possible to put your credit card into a credit balance if you need to make a purchase that's above the credit limit on the account. If you have BOI MasterCard added as a payee on 365, please allow one business day for the payment to reach the credit card.
