    The answer is "maybe"

    (you can try setting up the APN values as mentioned in this thread above and deleting the other APN's)

    If you're really relying on it - not a great idea.

    If you travel regularly either change provider or buy a sim in-country or a temporary sim in Ireland that does actually support proper roaming before you go.

    48 are a massive fail in terms of roaming in Europe (and UK) on the whole

    4G worked perfectly in London last weekend, same phone was only getting 3G in london in June, so looks like 48 have sorted out their roaming issues

    48 EU roaming works perfectly since they started 4g roaming last month.


    You might need to change to the roaming profile in the 48 SIM menu. If it's your first time roaming on a particular device, you might need to add 48months.liffeytelecom.com as an APN after you land.


    Ran a speedtest in Budapest last month and got over 100mbps download speeds.
