Aero Road Bike - Anyone Riding?

In an ideal word i was thinking an aero road bike might do both jobs but i wonder how well suited it would be to the rolling hills of Dublin/Wicklow.
Anyone out there using such a beast? Thinking along the lines of Madone/Propel etc.
Maybe i should just stick to a decent road bike which should be more than capable of hitting 40kph average for a race and lose my notions...
