Regular stopping of online banking stops phone as well. WHY?

I notice the regular notices about maintenance of online banking on Sun a.m.

But when I tried in the early hours.... I sat through the weirdly singsong listing of services available & not, got to the end, hit the key and was told not available.. Use Phone banking.

Hit the speed dial... And that was out as well.

Online commerce is 24/7/365. One may need to check cash available, whether a transaction is going through, what the actual price charged was etc

It would be most helpful NOT to have both wings folded simultaneously.

There are still other banks out there.
