Mens hair styles?

    Do you request anything specific?

Far more common for men to go for something uncomplicated (compared to women, of course).

    Mostly tight/buzz-cut.

I think there's something to be said for a some extra length.

Looking at approaches to this, half the battle is the terminology so the hair-stylist knows what to do.

    "Undercut".

    "Fade".

    "Disconnected".

    "Blended".

That video is linked to a 20 second outlay that details how the cut is done.

Doesn't seem complicated. Fade back and sides, 6 inches length on the front-top to 4 inches on the back-top.

What do you ask your barber/stylist for?

In physics we trust....... (as insanely difficult to decipher as it may be)

I just ask for it to be all cut into layers and choppy, cut out the curl's. I've wavy hair. It goes in different directions.

    Mid fade?

    No idea the terminology.

Ask a barber for this style, what does one possibly say?

What is the difference between a taper and a fade?

Do we have any barbers/stylists in the house/subforum?

"3 back and sides with a tidy on top, please".... ah how simple life used to be

You'd think it'd be easier now that there's nothing left on top but alas it takes more effort to be a baldy

Hold up, I may be able to answer my own question:

A fade is just a taper that goes right down to the skin... ?

To get a style like this perfect, could a regular barber do it or more recommended to go to an actual stylist?

I have been going to upmarket joints but they've been cutting my hair the way they'd cut a woman's hair.

    It's kind of...... un-masculine.
