Powerwashing cobble/brick paving driveway cost.

Hi lads, does anyone know who has had Powerwashing cobble/brick paving driveway done what is the going rate charged for the average standard 3 bed semi D in a housing estate, full paving in front and half paving in back.

I just don't want to get robbed with ridiculous price.

Also any recommendations for people that do it.

Well, he cleaned the walls of my house - a three bed semi - using a cleaning agent (Chloras). €400. The job you require done is more straightforward so would be much cheaper I imagine.

I use that chlorine agent myself when I clean my own house and footpaths. I buy it from Limerick Hydraulics off the dock road which is the stronger stuff. So much so in fact as I walked in the door there was a sign saying "High Strength Chlorus in stock" and it's 25Litres of it.

Trick is I dampen the area. then use a watering can and use 1 litre of Chlorus and 4 litres of water. Then you get a yard brush and agitate it in. When finished one area dampen it a bit more, brush it again and leave for about 15 mins and then wash it away. I use a power washer but anything will do.

Although €400 isn't mad money, €35 for the drum and some of your own personal time is all you need, unless age, disability, injury or sheer lack of will is against you.

I've done foothpaths and even took off the green on my tarmac driveway before.

Just don’t use it in tarmac as it’s not good for it. And make sure run off isn’t onto tarmac.
