Quick thread for today's stage. Mostly flat with a few cat. 4 lumps

Should be sprint. But there could be a massive crash to get position for the bridge. I am not a fan of 20km on a bridge.

WvA has gone all out in green today even though he is only wearing the jersey because Lampaert is in yellow 😬

It’s such a stupid rule that 2nd place wears the jersey if the leader is in yellow.

I get that ASO want someone wearing it for marketing and sponsors etc, but it must feel so hollow especially to someone like Wout, imagine if he doesn’t win it properly for the rest of the tour

Cat 4 climb and look at the crowds, they must be 5 or 6 deep the whole way up to the KOM point.

Unbelievable crowds indeed especially since it is only Cat. 4!!

He is buzzing out there today, for a small country Denmark gave some seriously impressive pro tour riders.

Crowds on the road are unreal.

I hope Jakobsen wins it today. His comeback is a miracle, this would top it off.

I don't think so, see Wout's bike set up in Green to compliment the Jersey as per dastardlys post.

With Podge holding most jerseys it's nice that we get to see them at least 😉

This bridge better be the full Indiana Jones - jets of flame, swinging axes, giant rolling boulders, snakes etc.

The amount of people lining the route, out of town or in rural looking spots and no amount of cars parked up meaning they walked or cycled out is unreal

I'm expecting something like in the movie Speed where the bus has to jump across the gap in the freeway, but in this scenario it's the peloton.

This is surely gonna kick off soon.... up to 29kmh crosswind, once the yellow Jersey gets back in the front, a race might break out again; long way to go on the bridge

Unless Godzilla is waiting at the end they may have overhyped this bridge.

Fingers crossed for Caleb Ewan, he deserves a bit of good luck after a bad run.

Let's never speak of this bridge again 😑

Fabio was awesome there, timed it to perfection.

Delighted for him, from a coma and told he'd never ride again to a stage win in the Tour, what a journey and we can only imagine how hard he worked and how much self-belief he has to make it all happen.

    Fairytale stuff there for Jacobsen.

WVA either wins or comes 2nd.

Delightful win for Jacobsen, clearly the fastest and he had to take the touristic route to victory there. Sagan on the other hand was throwing elbows and shoulders like an Armagh corner-back, wasting energy hopping off riders, almost sent the Alpecin rider into Row Z even though he was going backwards, in truth it was Jacobsen who kept him in, fight fire with fire

Good sprint, great result and the crowds were incredible. Otherwise that stage was a giant bowl of overhyped "meh".

500 franc fine and -20 UCI points for this, he told cycling news it was all good between them and he was just trying to get him to look ahead?
