Soundbar with budget of €500

Hi,

Looking to get a soundbar for 'standard size room' (20 feet by 20 roughly), for films & Netflix.

• No speakers, unless wireless (probably not feasible on my budget).
• Does ATMOS make a noticeable difference, some say they're not mad about it.
• Other option is a soundbar with sub woofer but would need to be placed near the soundbar.
• Budget €500 max (if closer to €400 great). I see you have Sonos Beam, Sonos Playbase, JBL BAR 5.1 SURROUND amongst others.

Any suggestions & reasons for your choice please?

There are a couple of soundbars I would recommend around that price range! The Sonos Beam would be a good starting point. It gives a good sound but it can be built upon by adding the sub down the line as well as wireless rears. You can also build it into a multi room system.

For a standalone soundbar I would recommend the Denon DHTS517 but we're currently sold out of them and just waiting for new stock to arrive. It's an Atmos soundbar with a wireless sub. The Atmos is worth looking at. A soundbar will never recreate it as well as a separate system with an amp and speakers plus you'll only get the benefit of it with an Atmos mixed soundtrack but it does sound great when it's up and running.

If you can stretch the budget a little I do have the DHTS516 in stock - it's not Atmos compatible but would have the best sound quality so would be my first choice!
