Hi we've just bought a 1950s end of terrace 3 bed. 105m2. Have gotten a quote of €10,800 to fully rewire it. This includes chasing, new Fuseboard, wiring for heating controls, bringing everything up to current regs, smoke alarms and also adding sockets where needed. We will be taking the flooring up ourselves to replace so that will already be done.

Does this seem expensive or is that the going rate these days?

Paid a shade under 10k for a (big) 3 bed mid-terrace, including full current spec smoke alarms that I'm sure we didn't need (head in every room bar the bathroom); circuit for a car charger, an electric shower if I decide to add one, and a socket and lighting spur circuit for a possible extension left under the floor.

That included chasing but not replastering, heating and immersion controls reinstatement, fuseboard etc.

    Get more quotes.

Depends on the extent of the installation ie detail of kitchen fitout/downlighters/inexcessible sockets/ bathrooms/heating controls/meter position/chasing/smoke heat and Co detectors not to mention pre and post testing so cost can differ substantially depending on what's going in.
