I let out my Jack Russell to go to the toilet one night. When I brought him in later he was fine I thought.. next morning he was acting very scared & wouldn’t open his mouth & seemed to be in pain.. brought him to vet, they thought it might be an abscess but it wasn’t, done an X-ray on him also & that was clear too. Just to mention also when he was brought to vet the side of his head had started to swell alot.. they weren’t sure what caused it. Could it have been a sting from an insect? Anyhow is on an antibiotic & steroid now. Has improved 70% but the last day or two the swelling hasn’t completed subsided so vet said he needs to take meds for longer. Has anyone come across this before?
