I feel they need a new chef, I have very little confidence in him.

They even got one of the bands from The Pat Kenny Radio Show.. Banjo player must have been sick that day though..

I see they added something else to the curry dish. Was it a Naan bread?

The carpet, the red chairs...the bedroom furniture - it still needs a bit of work.

Oh look an ad for DTTB promising us fireworks and an unhappy bride.

But what are the bets everything comes together on the day.
    God bless the production company.

I love this programme, for anyone with a hotel / guesthouse business its a great opportunity to get some fabulous advice and mentoring. John & Francis really know their stuff, and they have such a nice way of getting their message accross

'At Your Service' tonight, sees John & Francis visit Adare, Co. Limerick, to help Sean and Bridie Collins improve their three struggling businesses, the Pink Potato Restaurant, Sean Collins & Sons Bar and the Adare Village Inn.

I think they're overstretched, they have three businesses. It might be better to concentrate on two of them.

"The fast food restaurant's business is being chipped away" ... I hope Joe Duffy is watching this for new material..

Adare is very touristy, old fashioned village so a traditional name might work better.

Three business in 27 minutes, that is a bit too much.

I think John Brennan is very underrated.

Francis is more camera friendly, but John is a very shrewd operator.

There is a place in Galway called "The Couch Potato" they serve lots of different potato dishes and it is absolutely fab :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

I dont understand why they have a pub selling pub food right beside a fast food restaurant... Surely it's double the overhead, to compete with themselves.. I'd knock through the wall and extend the pub area..

At least you did not travel all the way to Donegal to see Muff. A longer journey and you would have been even more disappointed.

I agree with amdublin, I'm a frequent visitor to Adare as it is not very far from where I live. Please don't let this programme turn you off visiting, it is a really beautiful village. BTW, the Dunraven Arms or the Woodlands Hotel are lovely places to stay in Adare :)

I am no designer but someone needs to have a word with her.

Two attempts at her Tablecloths and that was the best she could do? It's not 1978 anymore.

The best kick I got in Adare was jackdaws begging off me when I was sitting at a filling station in my car having coffee and a bun, they came over like a dog looking for a treat !
