A UK/NI phone number for an RTE production

Is it produced by RTE itself or is there a production company involved? Perhaps it's produced by a production company that is UK/NI based.

Last show of the series tonight at 8.30pm ...

Hoteliers Francis and John Brennan try to help and invigorate business at An Grianan, the college of the Irish Countrywomen's Association. President Liz Wall asks if they can revive their 17th-century house and grounds, which contains 53 bedrooms, a 120-seat dining room, six self-catering cottages and a small shop. To keep the site alive, they need to attract new members and people to their courses - but it is a huge task for the Brennans. Last in the series

That might be interesting. I hope John drops in to say hello as he as done in previous years.

    I hope so too.

This is what John said on his fb page :)
Looking forward to my last At Your Service tonight. Many thanks to RTE, Waddell Media, the many crewmembers over the years and of course Brother for 56 shows over 7 wonderful years. It was a great experience and success. Series 2-7 only happened because of you the viewers. Thank you. Now back to the summer job or jobs!!!

*I wonder have they been watching this thread and maybe saw Amdublin's little ol' competition :D

I think someone mentioned last week that there will be a new series after John leaves... Waddell Media (The Producers) linked to this on their Facebook page on February 13th this year

Clever idea on the hen party...that'd be right up my street for a weekend

That ICA reality programme which was on a few years ago was decent enough, but it made the organisation look very old fashioned.

I don't know if that was accurate or not.

Maybe they should modernise and offer courses for men too.

John has a great business brain, more so than Francis. I wonder how Francis will manage without him next year.

John and/or Francis would be great for the new Boards 'Ask Me Anything' Forum

Yeah it's a great idea. I went to one on a farm before, this wouldn't sound dissimilar.

Is the ICA connected to Macra na Feirme?

That's meant to be a great group for outing, events etc. Maybe they should compare notes.

Francis is such a people person :o

"stoppit ye are too young for a bucket list"

Maybe the ICA should get a popular female personality (Amy Huberman, Stephanie Roche, someone like that) to do a promotional campaign for them.

They need to broaden their appeal, I know I wouldn't be in the target demographic but I suspect most young women don't know they exist.

I don't think their building is the real problem, although it does need some modernisation.

I'm looking forward to seeing the transformation

Those meringues looked nice...but very old fashioned

They definitely have to modernise and attract new, younger members. It's a unique organisation with a fascinating history. It's always been associated with older, conservative women. While I'd love to go and have a look around the place. I'm trying to imagine what would get me to part with €185 for a weekend.
