There was something strange - and slightly sad - about the whole programme.

Can't put my finger on it.

But yer man needs a slap around the head!

Not till he gets over his propensity to disappear for the summer at the drop of a hat!

I enjoyed that one, it was a Guesthouse that genuinely need help - unlike some in recent series which screamed "now that we have the refit all planned, lets get At Your Service on board so we can get free advertising"

The Secret Shoppers were a good addition and I liked John's observation that they should be selling some rooms to passing/desperate tourists at Top Dollar Prices.

The Mother and Son were entertaining, touch of Fawlty Towers about it but the placed looked well after the revamp.

Good to see the show back.

Still getting some poor reviews on TripAdvisor, looks like they might have slipped back into some bad habits instead of improving on the what they have...

Their location is 100%, arguably the best B and B site on Muckross Road and a few minutes walk from Gleneagle/Brehon Hotels/INEC/National Park. I think new owners might be the best outcome. Mother looks like she has given it her best years and son is far from committed to it.

The show was good overall. Glad John is back.

Good to see the show back.

Agreed. First "genuine" case we've seen in quite a while.

    Nice for a change.

I didn't catch the name either, Burtown? something like that.
Francis and John Brennan come to the aid of a couple who plan to build a restaurant able to seat 100 customers in the grounds of their historic house in Co Kildare, but who have very little experience in the hospitality industry. The hoteliers are concerned when they invite over 100 guests to attend the opening night when work on the building is not finished yet

Yeah it was just free advertising for a new restaurant, not sure what the Brennans were doing there to be honest.

She is. He's not bad either!!

Gorgeous finished product in the barn space, they clearly have a great eye for style.

Wonder how it's done since the last Brennan visit? (I'm off to TripAdvisor to see what the reviews are like :D)

Ok, they clearly haven't taken on the whole TA thing yet.... but they've a very attractive website.

I'd be tempted to take a spin down there some day!
