When the bought it, it was called the carrick court hotel. No it is called treacys. It's part of the treacy hotel group now.

That's the second time a treacy hotel has featured on the show.

Last nights show was more of a free advertising exercise than looking for help from the Brennans ...they had most of it sorted themselves and they had years of experience from her parents...no need for the Brennan’s at all..

I felt that tbh - I thought the show was aimed at small businesses etc. who would not be able to hire a consultant or whatever for advice. Clearly they were just getting free advertising (sure they could have asked the Treacy brothers featured previously for advice I imagine!)

It wasn't very effective advertising if more than me got to the end of the show with not the faintest idea of what the place was called!

They seem to be complicating things for the sake of it.

If Lisdoonvarna has a large ballroom and lots of unused bed capacity for most of the year, they should put on Weekender gigs like they do in Butlins in the UK off season, like 80s and 90s gigs.

The Lisdoonvarna brand is strong and associated with music, Christy's song is well known. I think it might work.

    An interesting one this!

But jaysus, committees trying to get things done is like wading through treacle.

My money is that nothing will have been actually finished by the end of the programme!

The poor local fella looks ready to cry :D

Not watching, but have there been any dogs yet?

Just wondering if it was worth catching up on RTE Player.

If anyone ever gets advance notice of Francis attending the re-opening of an At Your Service Hotel/Cafe/Donkey Sanctuary will you let us know?

It would be nice to see him in action.

    Good shout there Heidi,

Very little in that show. I'd say the editor was looking for as many scenes of Francis messing around as they could get, just to fill airtime.
