Council house but earning undeclared income

If you have a council house and are supposedly unemployed but have started an illegal business and are making a lot of money, would the council take the house back or charge you more rent?

Council house tenancies don't cease if you go over the income limit to get one. Rent would go up as its based on income.
A substantial amount of the arrears figures given by councils are disputed rent increases where the tenants just keep paying the old rent, though.
DSP and Revenue would be quite interested too.

This guy is most likely claiming he is only getting the old age pension but the reality is he is making hundreds of euro per week cash in hand, illegally.

Your claims have little to do with SW nor the local authority for that matter, Try Revenue, they've a Vexatious Bin to.

If he is on a contributory old age pension, DSP won't be interested. There is no rule against claiming a COAP and working in retirement.
