Rang them and delivery date of the 9th of September.

Said they had sent out 3000 texts for pickups in the last 2 days.

    Busy busy busy.

Same day as me. I'm just waiting in the car reg for car insurance, I hear that those don't get sent to ~10 days before pickup.

And I'm still waiting for my final invoice from them as we paid in cash (loan direct with AIB) and final transaction was last Wed to them. Thought it would be all automated and get final invoice in my account. 🤷

I didn’t see anything about it till I had accepted their trade in offer. I rang and they said it would be needed.

I rang as ghost said and got an appointment on the 7th of Sep. My only problem is how long it takes to get the disc, think it gets sent in the post?

How does one check the outstanding deposit to be paid, or even just to confirm what has been paid to Tesla? I can't see anywhere on the Tesla account where payments received are listed, with the exception of the initial invoice noting the €250 deposit.

Will be interesting to see how many cars will be picked up. Must be one of the larger Irish consignments

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭Mike2006

It will be shown in the payments section/tab in your Tesla account. In my case it shows the initial €250 and then the other 3 payments that I made to complete the balance.

Maybe I need to wait until the finance is shown as approved on the Tesla account? I don't see the payments tab.

On the DASHBOARD account page, the top bar lists the S, 3, X, Y, powerwall, charging and then Support, shop, account menu. The side tab lists "payment method" and "order history". The former shows the card I have on file and the later is the order history from the shop which is empty.

When I click on the "manage my car" tab, additional tabs at the top are Home, Charging, Settings, Sign Out. Below the car image I see Delievery Options, Payment Method (finance selected but not ticked off yet), Trade-in (greyed out) and Registration (ticked).

To the right of these, I see 2 documents listed; order agreement and booking invoice.

Yes, once I had completed my payments, the ‘look’ of my account page changed.

but… all along the way, I could see my individual payments going in so it is clear what payments have been made and what is due…

I'll ring them tomorrow so. Will be ringing Nissan too. Gotta cancel the Leaf now and get deposit back.

Maybe I misread this somewhere but do you get free charging on day 1 of delivery?

Just wondering how much charge will be in the car or should I go to the nearest SC and top it up a tad to balance the cells, been sitting in a ship for a few weeks cant be good for it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,554 ✭✭✭Thumper Long

Afaik the free collection day charging is gone but a good charge asap is advisable for the bms

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,554 ✭✭✭Thumper Long

There were reports of cars running out of charge quite quickly on the last collection window due to them being sat on a boat etc but hopefully Tesla will try and charge the cars this time but I wouldn’t hold my breath as they will go straight from the docks to NVD and I doubt there is any real charging infrastructure onsite

When your car passes NCT, you get it there and then with the results when you get your keys back, they don't post the NCT disc.

  • Registered Users Posts: 787 ✭✭✭Zurbaran

I’d be shocked if any were charged there. Only positive in this run is maybe in previous shipments they were sitting around longer due to lockdowns maybe? From what we know this shipments cars were built around a month or month and a half ago. So hopefully it’s not a big issue.

  • Registered Users Posts: 787 ✭✭✭Zurbaran

Thanks, I did sort of remember that but was worried it wasn’t the case. I only really remember looking at the results.

NCT cert and disc is given to you on the day at the centre. Once you pass of course.

When does the VIN actually display on the account page in Website\Mobile app?

Also, I went with AIB HP and on my account page it shows next steps - what does "final payment" mean? I've paid my full deposit so all that is left is the financing amount with AIB...not sure how I show proof of "final payment"

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,937 ✭✭✭✭ELM327

I'm seeing the same screen as you, and have not paid a deposit except the 250 yet.

You can see if you have a vin with the Tesla Vin Finder extension for chrome. I have one assigned.

If you open the source code and CTRL+F for "LRW" you can see if you have a vin

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,313 ✭✭✭splashthecash

Yeah I've found the VIN in the source code alright - just wondering if it was going to replace the RN number at any point

    Thanks!

From my delivery experience VIN was only formally notified 6 days before actual delivery date and that was by SMS (although I had the VIN from source code weeks before the formal notification)

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,572 ✭✭✭...Ghost...

I've also got the same screen. Sent in my current insurance cert just to get rid of that "step" even though I know it's not really needed. I believe Tesla want the full outstanding deposit amount as the "final payment" as that is what was asked for by my Tesla contact yesterday. I have paid most of it today and will pay the final 5k when I have it on Monday. Using Revolut, the payment reaches Tesla within seconds and shows this in the APP.

Just ordered a model 3 from inventory yesterday morning - it just popped up. Base model in white with no extras - got an email TODAY to schedule delivery for the evening of 8th September.

Was sick of waiting on my Ioniq 5 to be honest and if the grant goes or is reduced it's a hassle i can do without. The size of the boot might be a bit small for a family of 4 but hey for those few times a year we might need it......................

Base model 3 is good value right now as if u add a different color and upgrade wheels it goes to 60,400 and then is not eligible for the grant. Kind of silly the pricing on those. 8k extra for a different color and different wheels is a bit mad. No wonder there is a load of them sitting there on the new inventory - loads of people cancelling the order now it doesn't get the grant would be my hunch.

Anyway i was wondering how long the HP Finance takes to go through with AIB? I have not received anything at all regards this yet (i know its only over 24 hours) - but wondering if there is any way to speed this up?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I submitted all my dox to Tesla Tuesday last week. I called AIB yesterday and they informed me it had cleared that morning after first saying they hadn't received my payslips. So, 9 working days. Ring AIB after a week to check up on it would be my advice.

    Delivery scheduled September 7th. 😁

The online scheduler only had the 16th, but a Tesla guy (based in Sweden it would seem) was able to get it sooner for me. The later date didn't suit the missus, so he saved me a lot of hassle. Thanks Swedish Tesla guy.

    Now the final wait begins.........

Thanks. They haven't even asked for any documents yet just says tesla will be in touch. I guess I did only order it yesterday but if I don't hear anything by Monday afternoon I'll follow it up for sure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 836 ✭✭✭JOL1

Thats good to hear congratulations. You will love the car

I was looking at that one, there was a black one as well below the grant cut off. Congrats, only a couple of weeks to wait, very exciting times.

I've a 1yr old and 5yr old and find the size is grand so don't stress about it, unless you meant 4 kids 😬 that might be a bit tight all right

There’s a black one there right now. There’s a few popping up. If you keep an eye out.
